If there is a Google product that everyone is waiting for, it is the new operating system they have been working on for more than a year. Exact, we mean Fuchsia OS. Little has been heard last about him, although some details of it were revealed months ago: you could see the first captures.
Now it goes one step further and releases the necessary documentation so that the next Mountain View operating system can be installed on Chromebooks the company's latest generation (Pixelbook), as well as other competing models such as the Acer Switch Alpha 12 or Intel NUC.
As you may well have guessed, this release is focused, above all, on developers. Although if you look strong, we leave you the documentation for you to try for yourself. Of course, the installation will not be easy, and according to the first testers, the state of Fuchsia OS is quite green. Furthermore, with this approach it is expected that Google's new OS is more versatile than expected being able to be present in all types of equipment: w, smartphones, connected devices, tablets and Chromebooks.
Still It remains to be seen if Fuchsia OS will be the replacement for Android and Chrome OS or will be added to the list.. And we remember that Google decided some time ago that Chromebooks - some old models and all new ones - can run Android apps as native, a movement that gave much more play to the second operating system of the Internet giant.
Finally tell you that for the installation you need two computers: one Host and one as destination. Likewise, the company recommends doing the installation through the use of a USB stick which will be 'destroyed' during the process. As reported from Arstechnica, the destructive process will make you forget about using this pendrive in the future. Lastly, the same post warns that we surely won't see Fuchsia OS as a solid product until 2020.
