Helio X30, MediaTek's 10nm 10-core processor

When we saw yesterday the presentation at the MWC of the new MediaTek model we were quite surprised by the work carried out in this new Helio X30. And it is that the firm is working hard and wants to shorten distances with Qualcomm, but also does not want mobile device manufacturers and others to go into fashion to manufacture their own processors and that is why they have presented this new chip, the most powerful of the firm until today.

Many are the occasions that we dictate a high, medium or low-end smartphone depending on the processor that it mounts, obviously it is necessary to make an eye of the rest of the components and construction materials, but the power and efficiency of the set is usually marked by the processor and this new MediaTek surprises -on paper- with its power and efficiency.

To help the processor this has been shot of two ideal travel companions, the PowerVR Series7XT Plus GPU and Category 1 LTE modem. This set means that teams that mount the new MediTek Helio X 30 will be able to improve performance over the more powerful previous model by 35% and energy efficiency up to 50% over current values.

This processor 10 nanometer with Tri-Cluster architecture and 10 cores It has two Cortex A-73 cores, four Cortex-A53 and another four Cortex-A35, with all this it is planted as the most powerful of the company and from MediTek they assure us that they are already in production. Possibly by the middle of the year we could start to see them on mobile devices and test if they really are as spectacular as they were shown in the presentation, they look good.
