The HoloLens arrive in Spain with IP50 certification for basic protection

The company today announced that it is expanding the availability of this device to 29 new countries in Europe., and among them we find Spain. In addition to this, the glasses itself acquires a new functionality apart from the strictly technological one that is to perform tasks of visual protection to the employees that the companies have.

And it is that in the market we find a handful of models of glasses for protection against dust or basic protection at work with the IP50 rating, and these Microsoft HoloLens have been certified.

We have no doubt that these are not normal glasses and it is that they add, as we all already know, technology that turns them into augmented reality glasses. The high price and performance of these glasses neither is it for us to take them as a simple protective goggles at workBut if in addition to guiding the work steps within an assembly line or even in the employees who travel outside the factories to carry out repairs or maintenance tasks, they add that eye protection certification, then better.

Now the glasses arrive in these new countries for all those large companies or multinationals that want to place an order to implement the glasses in their production lines. In any case the glasses that have been on the market since 2015 They have not had the prominence that many wanted and it is partly due to the manufacture of these AR glasses and, as we have mentioned previously, their high price. Not for this reason, the big brands have stopped asking for them and companies like Ford or Thyssenkrupp have ordered HoloLens for use in Spain, Sweden and Turkey. Now the expansion continues and we are sure that Microsoft will continue working to reduce costs and cover more companies.
