At the end of July the new version of Android Auto was announced. Google leaves us with an update where we find many changes. It was also at the end of the month when it began to be deployed, although this has been in part, since many users are still waiting to receive this new version officially and do not know when it will arrive.
What can be done in these cases? There is a way that be able to force update Android Auto, in order to enjoy this recent version. It's a simple trick, which in many cases can work, so you don't have to wait for Google to release it.
Many users have been waiting for weeks receive the Android Auto update. But at the moment the OTA has not been deployed globally, or not in the way expected, so that many still do not have access to this new version. Luckily, you can force it and thus not have to wait any longer. You have to use the application on the Android phone for this.
Within the application we have to click on the icon in the upper left corner and then enter the settings (configuration) of the application. There you have to look for an option called «Try the new Android Auto«. This is the option that will help us to force the update.
By default it is usually disabled in the app. Therefore, what we have to do in this case is to activate this option, turning on the switch next to it. This is what will force the application to find the latest version available, which will be the one that was launched at the end of July.
So we have to wait a bit, until we are going to get this new Android Auto officially. In this way, we can enjoy the new version, with all the functions and improvements that come with it. It is a simple trick, as you can see, but in many cases it can work very well.
