Not everyone has a console and therefore your alternative is to play with your smartphone or tablet, but not all of these devices do the most powerful games run smoothly, so it is not a satisfactory experience. There are ways to mitigate this problem a bit.
This time we refer to an application available in the Google application store. Is named GLTool Gamers and it can be a very useful tool for all those devices in which it is difficult for a game to run smoothly. The words may sound like "Chinese" to many users "CPU, GPU or RAM" but they are determining characteristics for the optimal functioning of our terminal or computer. This application serves exactly to optimize these facets to the maximum and add an automatic game mode. The creators of the app highlight that they don't use fake "AI" algorithms or anything like thatInstead, they try to make the most of the phone's capabilities.
As soon as you open the app, the first thing it will do is analyze which processor and which GPU our terminal has. Based on this the functions may vary. In my case I have used a high-end Qualcomm processor from 2017 (Snapdragon 835), with its corresponding GPU Adrene (540). From this panel we have access to the list of apps (and thus select which one we want to activate in the game mode) and a mode for paid functions. We start by referring to the 'Game turbo' mode that will help us to optimize the most basic characteristics of a traditional game mode.
- CPU and GPU Boost: All nuclei of the CPU and those processes that are influencing it are eliminated, as well as those processes that require effort from the GPU (it is not always possible to disable them, depends on the customization layer). This is very useful in cases of games that are so light that they do not get to activate all the cores.
- RAM Memory Release: All applications that are consuming resources in the background will be removed to free up all RAM and make it available to play.
- System performance monitoring: This will warn us in the event that any application or process on the phone is interfering with the operation of the game that we are running at that time.
These are all the most basic options in a traditional game mode that would normally be enough to optimise the performance as not to have problems in any game, but let's delve into the range of options that this application allows us.
