The slides are not only presented in Microsoft PowertPoint but also in a large number of applications dedicated specifically to this type of task. Now this application that we have mentioned may be too much to try to show a few images housed on our hard drive and with some type of effect or transition, as we remember that with it, we can make magnificent and exceptional presentations depending on our creativity.
But if we are not going to create a new professional slide with said tool, then we should check out the free resources that are ready to be used at any time; if we talk about Windows, there are a few tools that we might be using to reproduce this slide, That being the objective of this article but, mentioning a few tricks to be able to see them at a fast, medium or slow speed according to our need.
Slideshow with picasa 3
What we will mention in this article is a few tools that you can use to reproduce slides, all without having to pay absolutely nothing to acquire some type of official license. If we talk about google photo organizer, with it we will also have the possibility of making a reproduction of images and photographs, this being not the interest for the moment but rather, knowing if there is any way to vary the speed of the transitions.
The image that we have placed in the upper part shows us a few elements that we are sure to appreciate if we use Picasa 3 to play a slide of photos and images; towards the right side there are 2 very important functions, one of which allows us to choose the type of effect that will be displayed between each of these images. A little further to the right is a small indicator, where we can define the exact time that one image should pass to the other. Arguably, this is the best option when it comes to playing image slides, as the transition time is completely customizable.
Slideshow using Photo Gallery
Because we are suggesting the use of a few tools to be run in Windows, another ideal alternative to play slides is in Windows Photo Gallery.
This application has not received any type of modifications since its 2012 version, so the use of each of its functions is very easy and simple to do. If we are in Windows 8, we will only have to go to the Start Screen (New User Interface) and write the name of this application, that is to say: Photo Gallery.
We just have to choose the tool from its results. Even though the interface shows a complex ribbon at the top, at the moment we are only interested in selecting "view" from the menu bar at the top. After that, we could click on the icon in the upper right that says "Presentation".
At the bottom of this option will appear all the transitions to be used between each of the images after these slides begin to play. We could also press function key F12 for such playback to start immediately. Unfortunately, in this native Windows tool there is no possibility of varying the speed, but it is a good alternative if we want to see the photos with a very attractive appearance.
The Windows Photo Viewer
This could be considered as another of the native Windows tools, which you can enjoy from Windows 7 to the higher versions proposed by Microsoft. The way to use this tool is one of the easiest tasks to execute, since we should only open our file explorer to go to a specific folder where some photos or images are.
Once we have located in said folder, we must double click on any of the images there present. In the middle part of the bottom bar there is an icon that has the shape of a screen, which we should select to start the slide show automatically.
Although this tool does not offer us the possibility of timing the speed between each of these images as Picasa 3 helped us do it, but if we could use 3 speeds that are configured by default in the tool. To do this, while the playback is in progress we must select the right button of our mouse and choose from the 3 options present there, which are:
- Lenta.
- Media.
- Fast
These speeds represent approximately 3, 5 and 11 seconds. With all these aids that we have mentioned, you practically do not need to acquire any type of third-party application to be able to reproduce slides, since the suggested ones are completely free to use in Windows.
