The North American HP has launched new high-end laptops. What's more, we could say that they are two laptops that have a thickness well below the average and that do not exceed 13,3 inches. That is, we could be faced with two alternatives in the sector ultrabook.
The new models are the HP Specter 13 and HP Specter x360, being two quite powerful alternatives and with similar characteristics - not the same. In addition, the company has wanted to launch these computers with the new Intel chips, the eighth generation to give it an even more current touch. But let's review both models and see what they offer us.

The first of the two new HP models is the HP Specter 13. This team that you can find both in white and blackIt is a very equipped team. Now, the first thing that will catch your attention is its thinness (just over 1 centimeter) and a comfortable, backlit keyboard to help you type in low-light scenes.
Also, its multi-touch screen, reaches a 13,3-inch diagonal size. Its resolution is Full HD (1.920 x 1.080 pixels) and offers a resistant Gorilla Glass panel. In addition, an attempt has been made to reduce the screen frames as much as possible, so that the feeling of being in front of a larger screen also increases.
Meanwhile, inside HP has not wanted to play it and has opted to integrate the latest processors on the market. That is to say, the HP Specter 13 consists of an 7 generation Intel Core i8 with a working frequency of 1,8 GHz. Although using the "Turbo Boost" function that clock frequency can be even 4 GHz.
This chip is accompanied by a 8GB RAM. It is welded to a plate, so the user does not have access to it and therefore will not be able to expand this figure. Regarding the storage part, the HP Specter 13 consists of a 256GB SSD drive, which will allow you to run applications — and start the OS — faster.
When it comes to connections, the HP Specter 13 has multiple Thunderbolt 3 ports, USB Type-C, and a headphone / microphone combo jack. The sound is signed by Bang & Olufsen and it has two speakers. Finally, its battery promises a range of up to 11 hours of work.

On the other hand, the second option that HP offers us is the HP Specter x360. This option has a different form factor than its catalog brother since it has 360 degree folding battle. That is, we are facing the convertible of the portfolio. Also, its screen size is 13,3 inches. And, attention: its resolution is 4K (3.840 x 2.160 pixels). Meanwhile, inside we will also have the same processor as its brother: 7th generation Intel core i8.
Now in this version RAM memory increases to 16 GB, although it will also be welded to a plate. Its storage is based on a 512GB SSD drive and it offers a MicroSD slot, something that is not offered in the conventional model. Another change in this model is its audio: we will have a system of 4 speakers signed by Bang & Olufsen and its keyboard is also backlit.
In addition to having the same connections as its brother, in this case a stylus is added to the sales package with which to work comfortably during classes or during meetings. And is that you can use the HP Specter x360 as a notebook to go making annotations. Now, in this version the thickness is 1,3 centimeters and its weight is 1,2 kilograms. Even so, it is one of the thinnest and with the least weight on the market.
Finally, the battery of the HP Specter x360 has a higher capacity than the HP Specter 13 (3 cells with 60 Whr) and its autonomy is 8 hours with mixed use, according to data from the company itself.
