The HTC Vive Focus will hit the market before the end of the year

In recent years we have gone to birth of virtual reality for all audiences, hand in hand with Facebook with the Oculis Rift and HTC with the Vive. Both platforms are the only ones that offer us this type of content, although HTC's solution, despite being more expensive, has outsold Facebook's proposal.

At the end of last year, HTC introduced the Vive Focus, a virtual reality glasses whose launch was exclusively limited to China. The main difference between the new Vive Focus and the Oculus Rift from Facebook and the HTC Vive is that this model does not require a connection to a powerful computer in order to function, making it a truly independent experience.

Also, unlike other glasses that try to imitate them by implementing our smartphone, HTC Vive Focus offers spatial tracking, so that we can move freely around our environment, something we cannot do with Gear VR, Daydream View and others. The HTC Vive Focus are the first virtual reality glasses to be marketed on the world market and that support movement in six degrees of freedom, without having to resort to external sensors, thus becoming the best of both worlds.

The announcement of the global launch of Vive Focus was made at the Game Developers Conference in San Francisco. At the same conference, HTC affirms that it has already made the necessary development kit available to developers so that they can start creating specific games to get the most out of this new generation. The Vive Focus includes a High resolution AMOLED screen and is powered by a Snapdragon 835 chip. It will be available in electric blue and almond white. The final prices at which it will hit the market have not been disclosed, so we will have to wait a few months, but the first generation of the HTC Vive would be similar.
