Full specifications You can read about this new phone here, in the article in which we have collected its presentation. Next, we leave you with the first impressions that this Huawei P30 has left us. Soon we will have the complete analysis of this high-end ready for you.

Design and materials

Huawei P30 Pro

At first glance, you can already see a clear difference between this Huawei P30 and the model launched last year. The brand has opted for a lower notch, in the form of a drop of water on the screen. It is a fairly discreet notch, which does not dominate the design of the front too much. For the rest, it has opted to reduce the frames as much as possible, making the most of the front of the device. Again, the brand is committed to using curved glass. Which allows a much more comfortable use of it.

The Huawei P30 has a 6,1-inch OLED screen, with a Full HD + resolution of 2.340 x 1.080 pixels, with a 19,5: 9 screen ratio, the usual in these cases with this type of notch. The fingerprint sensor has been integrated into the screen of the device, as we are already seeing in many models within the high range. On this front we find a single camera, where we also have facial unlocking. We will tell you more about the camera later.

In the back we find a triple rear camera on the device, with a combination of several lenses. For this year's models, Huawei has introduced new colors. We have classics like black or white, as well as new shades, which are called to conquer consumers. So users will be able to choose the ones they like the most. The body of the phone has been redesigned in glass, giving it a more premium look at all times.

Overall, the design is identical to the P30 Pro. Only this model is somewhat smaller in size, as the Pro has a 6,47-inch screen, while this model stays at 6,1 inches. But in both cases we have the same resolution and the same OLED panel.

Processor, RAM, storage and battery

As expected, this Huawei P30 makes use of Kirin 980 which is the most powerful processor that the brand has available today. A processor that makes great use of artificial intelligence, with a specific unit for it. An intelligence that is used in the telephone in general, in addition to the cameras. In this case, it makes use of a single combination of RAM and storage, 6 GB of RAM and 128 GB of internal storage. Although users will have the possibility of expanding said storage space. So if they need more, it won't be a problem.

For the battery, we also find improvements by the company. In the case of this Huawei P30, we find a 3.650 mAh capacity battery. It will also have the Chinese brand's SuperCharge fast charge. Thanks to it, it is possible to charge 70% of the battery in just 30 minutes. Which will undoubtedly be very helpful for users in all kinds of different situations.

In combination with the processor, it is to be expected that the battery will give us a good autonomy. Although in this range, Huawei usually meets this aspect well. Further, We have to add that it already arrives with Android Pie with EMUI 9.1. So the operating system itself already has various functions that help to better manage the battery. Nor should we forget that we have an OLED panel, whose energy consumption is lower. In short, elements that help reduce consumption on the phone at all times.

Huawei P30 cameras

Last year the P20 range was a major breakthrough for photography in this range. In 2019, the brand takes another step in this direction in this range. The Huawei P30 makes use of a triple rear camera. They are not the same cameras that we find in the P30 Pro, although they have little differences in general. Some cameras that undoubtedly promise to be able to take great photos. As in the rest of the smartphones of the brand, we have the presence of Artificial Intelligence in them.

We find a combination of three sensors: 40 + 16 + 8 MP. Each of the sensors is assigned a specific function. We have the main sensor of 40 MP, with an aperture f / 1.6 and a RGB sensor redesigned by the brand, to have a greater sensitivity to light. The secondary one is one of 16 MP with aperture f / 2.2 and the third one is one of 8 MP with aperture f / 3.4. A powerful combination that makes clear the brand's commitment to photography.

While on the front we have a single sensor. Huawei has made use of a 32 MP camera with f / 2.0 aperture in the same. In this sensor we also find the device's facial recognition unlocking. So we can use both systems with this high-end.

In a few weeks we hope to have the analysis of this Huawei P30 ready. For now We can do it with a clear idea of what this high range leaves us. A model that once again shows the progress that this segment is having in the Chinese brand. What impressions does the phone leave you?
