Last Monday, January 23, we heard the news that Hugo Barra he stopped being vice president of Xiaomi, to return with his family to the United States. Through a message on Twitter we learned that he would continue to be a consultant for the Chinese manufacturer, but that he would soon undertake new projects, although according to his words it seemed that it would not be immediately.
The thing has been very different and is that in the last hours Barra himself, until not long ago one of the visible heads of Xiaomi, and a little longer ago one of the great managers of Android, announced that Joins Facebook as Vice President of Virtual Reality and Head of Oculus.
As well Mark Zuckerberg has confirmed the news through Facebook, with a message that is accompanied by a most curious and funny image, and that you can see heading this article. Hugo Barra will thus replace Brendan Iribe who left the position of CEO of Oculus not long ago.
Joining Facebook as VP of virtual reality (VPVR!) To lead Team @Oculus. So excited! Mark posted about it here: https://t.co/kYgIniSQiM pic.twitter.com/7fYTkniykr

There was little doubt that after Hugo Barra's departure from Xiaomi he would end up in one of the most cutting-edge companies in the world of technology, but few could imagine that he would end up on Facebook, also being responsible for virtual reality. Without a doubt lhe bet of the social network and Mark Zuckerberg for the Oculus project is decided and we very much fear that it will soon give amazing results with someone like the former head of Google and Xiaomi at the helm.
What do you think of Hugo Barra's file on the social network Facebook after his departure from Xiaomi?.
