The hydrogen-powered train will soon arrive in Germany

The means of transport are increasingly focused on protecting the environment, with that intention the hydrogen-powered train arrives in Germany. The German country has been at the forefront of renewable energies lately, a position that Spain once occupied, which meets all the necessary requirements for this, however, here we focus on penalizing those who remain outside the yoke of power companies, in an energy-poor country. Continuing with the important third, many trains become the main reason for the consumption of large quantities of diesel in Europe, and Germany wants to remedy it.

This means of transport so deeply rooted in the Old Continent cannot be eradicated from one day to the next, for that reason, they have begun to think of alternatives that maintain the same format but save on pollution. From this idea came Coradia iLint, the first train with zero environmental impact that is intended for public transport. Uses the same hydrogen engine technology that has been studied for decades, but they do not finish curdling in the automotive market. These hydrogen gas powered engines are manufactured by the French company Alstom, a good Franco-German alliance.

The Coradia iLint is capable of speeds of almost 90 Km / h and has an autonomy of 800 Km, which is not bad. It has places for up to 300 passengers in the same journey. The Coradia iLint will begin to be deployed at the end of 2017 or early 2018, if the project works as it should, soon they will all be like this, reducing the pollution emitted by all trains in Europe, especially if fashion is expanding. Meanwhile, in countries like Spain, trains with electricity lines generally predominate, which does not ensure a low environmental impact either, since the energy produced comes from thermal or nuclear power plants.
