Hyperloop will arrive in Europe on an initial journey between Slovakia and the Czech Republic

hyperloops

There have been several occasions that we have had to talk about Hyperloop, that futuristic means of transport that promises us to be able to travel between different cities several thousand kilometers away in just hours. After the development and testing of the first prototypes, it is time for the different companies to start looking for allies interested in having their trains connect several of your cities. In the European case, two of the first cities interested in this technology have been Slovakia and the Czech Republic.

This agreement has been published by Hyperloop Transportation Technologies, one of the companies that have specialized in the development of this type of transport and that little by little is finding different cities where to start implementing its technology. Thanks to this contract, the company undertakes to link cities like Bratislava and Brno at the beginning and, depending on its popularity and acceptance, it would be evaluated whether to continue with the line to also connect the city of Prague.

Hyperloop Transportation Technologies will be in charge of connecting the cities of Bratislava and Brno.

As has been stated by the company in charge of building both the machinery, wagons and infrastructure necessary for Hyperloop to function perfectly, once everything is ready, traveling from the city of Bratislava to Brno would be a journey of only 10 minutes duration instead of the hour and a half it takes today to travel from one city to another by train.

As commented Dirk ahlborn, current CEO of Hyperloop Transportation Technologies:

As we have already solved all the technical problems, it is now crucial for us to start collaborating with governments around the world. In this phase of development, it is very important that Hyperloop works directly with regulators to create a new regulatory framework as we build the systems in Slovakia, the United Arab Emirates and other countries.
