Apple's iMac Pro uses the A10 Fusion processor to invoke Siri

Apple's assistant, Siri, has evolved in the way in which we can interact with it, being just as "short" as in its origins. The latest iPhone models allow us invoke Siri even when the phone is off, since it has a function that allows you to always be aware that we call you through the command «Hey Siri».

Thanks to this function, we can send messages, check the weather and if we have any new mail for you to read, find out the result of the last game of our favorite team ... while we are making food or any other task that requires our two hands. The new iMac Pro, will be the first Mac with the A10 Fusion processor, which allows this function in the iPhone 7 and 7 Plus.

Currently on the Mac, we have Siri available, although its usefulness is still practically the same as on the iPhone, but unfortunately there is no always on function, which allows you be aware at all times of the command "Hey Siri", so that we have to go with the mouse to the upper right corner of the menu bar or look for it in the Dock.

But with the launch of the iMac Pro, a vitaminized iMac that will have a starting price of 4.999 euros, Apple has added the A10 Fusion chip, so that in addition to taking care of always keeping Siri alert, it also takes care of security tasks and the startup process of our Mac. This chip is accompanied by the 512 MB exclusively dedicated.

It looks like the T1 chip, which Apple pulled out of its sleeve last year to manage the Touch Bar and the fingerprint sensor of the new MacBook Pros, is not powerful enough to manage Siri's "always on", so that in future generations, Apple may stop developing the T1 chip and begin to implement the same processor currently available in iPhones to manage the Touch Bar, the fingerprint sensor in addition to offering the hands-free function of Siri.
