Install Google Chrome offline

google-chrome-logo

On the official page of Google Chrome a link is provided to install the browser. The only possible way is through an online installer that, after accepting the terms and conditions, installs Google Chrome on the computer.

But what about people who want to install the browser without an Internet connection? It may be illogical that a person who wants to install a browser does not have an Internet connection, but there are those who will be under the rules of a network administrator or who simply want to save bandwidth by using the same installer on several computers.

Well, there is a very simple method to download the Google Chrome installer and use it offline. All you have to do is add the parameter standalone = 1 to the web page where Google Chrome can be downloaded.

These would be the links to download the latest official version and the latest beta version of Google's browser:

Official version: http://www.google.com/chrome/eula.html?standalone=1
Beta version: http://www.google.com/chrome/eula.html?extra=betachannel&standalone=1

It's super good I'm using it, and it doesn't need internet to download something good.

Very well done, but you could add my case:
I do not have internet since in my house I am not allowed to hire a telephone line so I have contracted a flat rate in the mobile and with the option of "shared connection" I connect to the internet on the PC and when trying to download the google chrome with the online installer, I don't know why, when it reaches 70% (approx, so by eye) it disconnects me from the mobile internet. This I have tried several times and it always happens right at the same point with this installer.

    What can I say friend .. !!

Google had burned me for being so restrictive ... it beats when they force you to do something you don't want.
Testing chrome but without obligation is something we all want to do. This option should give them "ortho" to those of google.

Thanks for the contribution… .you are well.

Dross: you already solved it since your publication is old, but if someone else happens something similar, a solution is to go to an internet cafe or I don't know what they call it in other countries a site where they rent computers and internet time.
Dross: I think your solution would be that when the browser comes out, I imagine the option to update will come out, which would solve your problem, right?
In my case it was not that I wanted to load it on a USB, but when trying to install it it sent me an error, I hope that it works for me this way, thank you very much friend and it will be possible to know how you found out the link ???

  21.   Daniel said

The same thing happened to me too, but I solved it differently
You go to Google Chrome and you look for the option to download the latest version either in Spanish or English, you accept everything and when you get to the part where you have to accept to download it, you go to the end of the link and if it ends in? Do you do this? standalone = 1 and if it ends in a letter you do this it has & standalone = 1 that is, you put an & in front of it to separate things or it gives an error. It is the same as what the owner of this post did but I see that some directly took the links that he gave as an example.
If after downloading it you run and nothing happens (it may put some quick screens), use the windows search engine and look for this name: "chrome_installer.exe" without the quotes (I use windows 7 and it works for me)
If "chrome_installer.exe" appears, put it in your installers as this is the legitimate installer from google and it is the latest version available on their site.
If you run it, you just see the pointer with the busy symbol and within a minute you get google Chrome complete and 100% functional

Downloading Chrome by this means has its advantages. My version is 14.0.835.163 and the one that Softonic gives you Eg, is 14.0.835.113.
Sure, there are non-final versions that are more advanced, but since this version that I downloaded comes from google directly, it is 100% safe and effective.

I hope this data has served you as it served me. the post is great and I got the explanation from it

whoever the comment is, it seems to me that they don't have much knowledge of the subject. A browser is not only used to work directly on the internet, see if you investigate a little, also when an operating system is installed many times there is no internet availability at the moment and they ask for that browser, it is good one as a technician to have it and satisfy the customer.

People, I understood that the Standalone offline version is only installed for the Windows user from where the installation is carried out, I tell you that I need the one that is installed for all the users of the computer ... if someone passes it, very grateful!
