One of the projects that DARPA engineers have been working on is specifically creating self-directed bullets, a project that already presented its final prototype many months ago and that, after all this time, seems to be reaching its final stretch. As you are surely thinking, thanks to this new type of bullet, literally war, as we know it, could change forever because with this new type of bullet, DARPA ensures that the military always hits the target despite the poor shot. As has been published, in the results obtained after the numerous tests carried out, whether the shooter is an expert or a novice, the result is always the same.

This live fire test with a standard rifle demonstrates that EXACTO is capable of hitting a moving target with extreme precision at a range that would be impossible with a conventional sniper rifle.
Russia has also announced that it already has this technology, although no evidence has been shown.
In the previous statements it is spoken of EXACTO, this is the name of the program, specifically the acronym for Extreme Accuracy Tasked Ordinance. If you like this type of project, you will surely know that it is not the first time that an automatic projectile has been developed, although it is the first time that a smart bullet can be fired with a 50 caliber weapon. The difference between the previous ones and bullets EXACTLY we find it in that these do not need to be guided by a laser and do not require human intervention, in fact, as mentioned, an automatic weapon could be developed that fires autonomously.
