The eReader is also presented as a great alternative to the Kindle Oasis, being not only cheaper but also offering more functions to users. But this is not the only thing we have known. Kobo and Rakuten also unveiled an eReader with a 6-inch screen that claims to be a serious rival to the Kindle Paperwhite 3.
The Kobo Aura One will have a Freescale processor accompanied by 512 Mb of ram and 8 GB of internal storage. But it will also have the new IPX68 certificate, a certificate that states that the Kobo Aura One will be resistant to water and dust, but more resistant than other certificates such as IP67.

The screen of the Kobo Aura One is 7,8 inches with Letter technology, illuminated and touch screen. The resolution of the eReader is 1.827 x 1.404 pixels with 300 dpi. The eReader software will be the same as in previous versions, but this time a direct access to Overdrive will be incorporated, a Kobo ebook loan service that will allow any user to rent any ebook through their eReader. A feature that the old Kobo eReaders will gradually receive.
The Kobo Aura One will be launched under reservation next August 30 at a price of $ 230, a lower price than the Kindle Oasis and with a larger screen. Almost by surprise, Kobo introduced the Kobo Aura Edition 2, an eReader with a 6-inch screen, letter technology and a relatively low price that places it on the threshold of $ 100.
El Kobo Aura Edition 2 has a resolution of 1024 x 768 pixels, Carta technology, Comforlight for lighting and 268 dpi.
