Little by little more banks are adding to the payment with Apple Pay. Until now, Santander, financial services from Carrefour supermarkets, American Express and some others have already been available in Spain. Nevertheless, La Caixa warned weeks ago that before the end of this year 2017 came. And that moment has already come.
Current customers of La Caixa and ImaginBank (the entity's online service) will be able to add their credit - and debit - cards to the Apple Pay payment service. The service is active from today, so all you have to choose is the device from which you want to start using Apple Pay associated with your La Caixa and ImaginBank account and that's it.
We remind you that to make payments through mobile devices you can use both iPhone, Apple Watch and iPad. Both on the iPhone and on the iPad you must go to the "Wallet" function. Once inside, you will have to choose the option "Add credit card" and start entering the information of your compatible card. From then on, the part of your bank begins in which you must verify the data you have provided and give the go-ahead for you to start using Apple Pay.
In the case of the Apple Watch, you should go to the "Clock" section on the iPhone. If you have different watches associated with your mobile, choose the one you want and go back to the «Wallet» section. Again you must enter the card details and voila, to wait for your bank verification. In this case, La Caixa or through its ImaginBank service.
Similarly, if you have questions about whether your current card is compatible or not, the best thing is that you go to your nearest office and that they are the ones who confirm you before starting all the steps.
