Logitech launches two new headphones for gamers

Logitech, one of the most reputable peripheral manufacturers and preferred by video game lovers, has introduced two new headphones for gamers: The Logitech® G933 Artemis Spectrum ™ Wireless Headphones and the Logitech® G633 Artemis Spectrum ™ Headphones. Both headphones have new Audio drivers, called Pro-G and that are patent pending, which promise to provide a superior and very immersive audio experience, something very important if we want to play FPS titles.

Logitech's Vice President and General Manager of the gaming division, Ujesh Dasai says that “We detected that no one was making high-quality headphones for gamers, so we challenged our Audio team”. The first thing that he noticed when his team presented the headphones was the design, something that as a holder of other headphones of this type does not surprise me for having one much more careful image than mine.

Better surround audio

Advanced Pro-G audio drivers promise to provide gamers with a much more realistic audio thanks to the depth provided by clean and precise bass and treble. Not surprisingly, the G633 and G933 are the first headphones for gamers that They combine Dolby Surround with DTS Headphone: X.

Thanks to the new technology developed by Logitech G, players will have the feeling of being in the game, hearing perfectly the movements of our enemies and just in the position they are in, something very important in games where they can appear to us for any side. Multi-platform support

Another of the highlights of both headphones is that they not only work with PC's and consoles, but also work with mobile devices. The G633 has a USB connection and an analog input that is capable of joining and mixing the sound of up to two devices, while the G933 has a USB mixing adapter and two analog inputs that allow you to connect and mix the sound of up to three devices. This is used, for example, to be playing and at the same time calling a friend to ask him to connect and be able to play with him, and all without stopping playing.

The problem is that, at the moment, the multi-platform support is somewhat limited and they only promise compatibility with PlayStation 4 and Xbox One, so they would leave us out to users who have a PS3 or Xbox.

Lighting and custom keys

Something that is not too important because it does not improve or harm the gaming experience is the lighting, but it is something that I have other headphones with lights I can say that I like it a lot. The two Logitech G headphones can be attached to each of us thanks to the G-Keys, tags and highly configurable sound, although for this we will have to download the Logitech Gaming Software.

With the Gaming Software we can adjust the RJB lighting with over 16.8 million colors and assign custom game macros by the G-Keys. In addition, an equalizer is available to fine-tune the sound to the point that we consider perfect for us.

With cables or without sabers. You choose

The difference between the two models is that the G633 uses cable, while the G933 that allows us to play with or without cables with an ultra-low latency of 2.4Ghz. Play with headphones provided surround sound quality with good depth and without cables It is something that catches my attention, since what I know are large headphones with so many cables that it is inevitable to think that we are going to end up electrocuted. In the case of the G633 there will only be one cable, which is also much less than what my current equipment has.

The G933 model also has the possibility of using a cable to avoid wasting the included battery.

Price and Availability

The price of the headphones does not seem excessive. The wired version, the G633 will be priced at € 169, a price that is not cheap, but it is not much more expensive than other headphones with a design and performance far from this Logitech proposal. The wireless model, the G933 will be priced at € 199 that, if we take into account the strategy of other brands, the price increase to play wirelessly and add the possibility of connecting one more device is only € 30, much less than the € 100 that go up in some headphones. Anyway, it is a personal opinion.
