The thermostat has its own thermometer, so each of the T6Rs that we place in the home will work in a different way. In our case we have tested an individual unit that exhibits an accuracy in the total temperature, we have not found any margin of error. In the same way, the Wi-Fi and RF connectivity does not present interferences, it has more than enough quality antennas to work at home without collective problems.

Design and materials of the T6R station

Honeywell does not sin in any way in the construction of this type of device. It is made entirely of plastic, something that in this type of product is appreciated for its tendency to prolonged use. In the same way we find a resistive touch screen with basic coloring and more than enough to know all the data that affect the environmental management of our home. Without a doubt, the base station is a success.

Honeywell undoubtedly does a detailed job again in this section, the station looks good in any home and gives us all the information we need at a glance. In our case we have tested the T6R edition which is wireless, although they also have a wall version, the T6 version.

Installation of the receiver base and connection to the boiler

As we have said on other occasions, precisely another of the points where Honeywell usually stands out is precisely the ease when installing and configuring its products. In our case, we have received a Honeywell installer who in less than 40 minutes had everything ready and working, but we have followed the installation process very closely and it is extremely simple. We can choose four types of installation depending on our present system or our needs:

• Basic boilers
• Combined boilers
• Modulating boilers
• Two-way systems (V4043)

In our case we have installed it in a Saunier Duval boiler system, fully compatible with the Honeywell system, simplement following the installation scheme we connected the cables with the help of a screwdriver and the base was already working. This base is the one that we are going to place next to the boiler and it has two operation indicator LEDs and a button. The LEDs will warn us if the boiler is operating as well as the availability of the Wi-Fi network, while the button will allow us to directly turn off the boiler in a few seconds. This device allows us a variety of positions and does not require excessive delay in its management.

We simply use the option to add a new device and follow the instructions that will include the code that shows our Lyric T6R base and pairing it with the new Wi-Fi network that we are going to use to work with the intelligent system.

The application works really well, its effectiveness is extremely surprising, from the fingerprint protection system (to prevent them from accessing our cameras) as well as the possibility of programming and changing the operation of our boiler on site.
