Christened SKYACTIV-X engines, this new generation of powertrains are the first gasoline with combustion ignition. But what does this new SKYACTIV-X engine offer us?
As the brand itself has commented, the new gasoline engine will have the best of both sectors (diesel and gasoline). Compared to current engines (third generation SKYACTIV-G), these new compression engines will have a higher torque delivery (between 10 and 30 percent more).
Likewise, fuel consumption is also important in this regard. These new SKYACTIV-X will consume between 20 and 30 percent less than the current gasoline models. Whereas if it faces diesel engines (SKYACTIV-D) the consumption, at least, will be the same.
On the other hand, Mazda does not forget about the electric market. And he has already assured that in the year 2019 will start the introduction of electric vehicles.
