Mango calls Wallapop a market for its stolen goods

Wallapop

Wallapop returns to the epicenter of information, and once again it is due to the dubious morality of a large part of its users. And it is that the fact of finding products of doubtful legal origin in Wallapop is not exactly complicated, in fact, it is the preferred place for thieves to advertise the content of their loot and get rid of it quickly. Then there are those who bargain for 25% of the real value, but these types of people deserve a separate psychological analysis ... In short, this time it was Mango's head of security who called Wallapop the official market for the products stolen from its stores.

That Wallapop is one of the main markets for stolen clothes in Spain is an open secret, and it is not that the application lacks control and security measures, it is that they simply do not apply them in these cases. For example, in Wallapop it is strictly forbidden to share advertisements that have animals as their object, they are quickly eliminated, but this is not the case with clothes and objects without justification of any origin. Oscar Molins, the director of stock control at Mango has said the following:

'Before, items stolen from stores were sold at flea markets. Now, they are sold at Wallapop »

And it is not the only means, as indicated EconomistaDigital.es, the Spanish Agency for Medicines and Health Products also warns of an exponential growth in the sale of medicines of dubious origin in this type of second-hand platforms.

Wallapop's response has not been long in coming, explaining to the Spanish media that it has developed an algorithm to detect used by sellers of stolen objects with the intention of blocking their publication, although everything sounds too mystical to seem real. Meanwhile, Wallapop continues to maintain a team of 20 people in charge of monitoring everything that happens in its application.

I think it's not Wallapop's fault, but rather Mango's security chief, because I don't think he does his job well who makes him look at it.
