Mashable warns of massive hacking of Instagram accounts

It seems that this afternoon is being moved for hundreds of users of the well-known social network Instagram, and that is that according to the media Mashable, many of these accounts are being hacked for a few days but today is being the peak day.

It seems that it is not a problem this afternoon and since the beginning of August, many users have complained about a problem of hacking their accounts and this continues to occur. Apparently the victims of this hack say that when they enter their Instagram account they see changed profile avatar, username and also biographies disappear.

When trying to change the password we ran into the hack

And it seems that when we realize the hack and try to change the password of our account, a different email appears with a Russian domain (.ru) that prevents us from changing the password and therefore we cannot reset the password. This means that we have lost the account and that we will not be able to recover it.

Obviously, two-factor authentication on accounts can save us from this type of massive hack, although there is nothing that is totally insurmountable, but it seems that those affected in this case did not have this type of protection active in their accounts as you can well read in the Mashable report. At the moment there is not much information about a possible rescue of these accounts or the possible recovery of their content upon payment, so those affected are left without accounts and without options to recover the content of the popular social network.
