MINI Electric Concept, a preview of the electric model that will appear in 2019

MINI Electric Concept first presentation

El grupo BMW acquired the MINI catalog - the Rover Group - in 2001. Since then, the sales of this iconic car have risen in such a way that there are currently different versions of the car: convertible, 3 or 5 doors, 4 × 4 or a wagon model. However, MINI has been working to bring a fully electric model to market, until a few days ago it showed the public what is expected of the MINI ElectricConcept.

Fruit of the work of MINI and BMW in recent years has been reflected, above all, in the BMW i3 model. Although already in 2008, MINI released an electric model that wanted to be a test bed for the development of this technology. Therefore, the next move was clear: in 2019 the company will put into production a completely electric model.

At the moment the company has only taught one concept, so the final product may differ in some aspects, as well as in some finishes. Now, the advance has been only in images. And is that On September 12, the Frankfurt Motor Show will open its doors (Germany).

Also, the appearance of this MINI Electric Concept differs aesthetically from the model we currently know. For example, its 19-inch wheels have a futuristic touch. We can also see the 'E' logo in various areas of the model to indicate at all times that we are facing the pure electric version.

Now, what will attract your attention the most is the new optical group. Both the front and rear are fully LED and to be more specific, the rear ones evoke the British flag. Also striking is the entire aerodynamic set that has been printed in 3D and that according to the brand itself will help the autonomy of the engine to be even greater. However, for more specific - and technical - data we will have to wait a few days. Now it is best to enjoy the images.
