Nest Cam IQ, the revolution of home surveillance cameras has arrived

This morning we were intrigued by the event that Nest had prepared in Madrid to get a new product out of the closet. The Nest firm has always been characterized by offering quality material that immediately attracts anyone who tries its products, despite the fact that its penetration in Spain is being quite gradual. However, today they have decided to leave us with our mouths open.

Stay with us and discover Nest Cam IQ, the new home surveillance camera that Nest has presented, whose characteristics will not leave anyone indifferent. This new Nest camera has, among other things, a fabulous 4K sensor and facial recognition.

The camera will have a 4K sensor that will offer clear images up to 12x, while the two lateral nanoLEDs with infrared will allow us to obtain practically the same result in the dark, we have been able to verify it and attest that it really works as we are told. This camera is capable of offering a live broadcast at 1080p quality (FullHD) of what is happening, for which it will use its Nest Ware Notices, facial recognition has reached home surveillance cameras, and it works so well that it is able to differentiate our dog from the person in charge of walking it. In this way, we can customize what type of notifications we want to receive, and even schedule their shutdown.

It has a sensor 8MP with HDR and zoom of no less than twelve times. The rear part will in turn have three microphones and a speaker enough powerful enough to maintain a clear conversation without interference in the most rigorous of live shows ... will we scare off the criminals like this? On the other hand, in a connected world, we will have the possibility of accessing the activity history of the last 3 hours in the Nest application, or take advantage of the uninterrupted recording that the subscription offers us Nest Aware.

The camera will start at € 349 with a free subscription month to Nest Aware, and will be available in the main distribution media in Spain. Meanwhile, the Nest Aware subscription will cost € 10 / month for the first camera (or € 100 / year), or € 5 / month for each additional camera.
