Xiaomi's new goal is to have 1.000 physical stores in the next 4 years

Xiaomi store

Xiaomi has grown exponentially in recent years and has been the culprit of all that avalanche of Chinese smartphones that have reached very tight prices. Those tight prices have not been reluctantly with what means a great finish and high quality in its components, but the other way around.

It is now when Lei Jun, CEO of Xiaomi, has stated that for the next 4 years they will have 1.000 physical stores as a way to counteract the movements of the competition, as has happened with Oppo and Vivo by subtracting sales through those online channels where the Chinese company knew how to hit the nail on the head.

It was in the online channel where Xiaomi hit hard with those sales in which hundreds of thousands registered of users to almost fight online with flash sales in which in seconds they ran out of stock. This made the desire to get a Xiaomi increase and wait for the next flash sale with great enthusiasm. The problem is that others have copied him, Vivo and Oppo, and now they don't sell as much through those online channels as in previous years.

So the strategy is to go through having more physical stores than those 25 that the Chinese company has right now. If all goes well, they will have a thousand by 2020, although we do not know if they will all stay in Chinese territory, or attack other countries. If we know that Huawei has 10.000 In this same country, we can already imagine where Xiaomi wants to establish itself.

We will see where that is possible expansion to the US market or European, since at the moment through the online channel there are many who acquire Xiaomi, so, even if they sell us the motorcycle of their arrival, it seems that there is still so that we can test one of those striking phones in situ.
