Are we going to mess with the computer in the pool? Already what we lacked! ». However, the reality is that more than one user "with butter hands" will appreciate the proposal made by Silicon Power.
Silicon Power company has announced its first portable SSD drive: a new disc shaped disc, worth the redundancy, which offers a dust and water resistance IP68 certified. Ideal for those who like to drink coffee, soft drinks and other dangerous liquids while studying or working.
Bolst B80, a discreet and resistant accessory
The Bolt B80 external SSD comes to us in three storage options (120GB, 240GB and 480GB) and has been made of aluminum. Presents a very compact size, circular and flat, making it easy to carry in virtually any pocket. Also, with a thickness of just 11,9mm and a weight of just 53 grams, Silicon Power argues that the B80 is the thinnest portable SSD on the market, which is undoubtedly being possible thanks to the state discs only and that before, the HDD or mechanical discs, prevented.
The B80 has a USB 3.1 connection that it uses through a USB Type C connector, and is delivered with a USB-C to USB-A cable so that it can be used with any connector from USB 2.0.
In terms of running speed, the Bolt B80 offers moderate file transfer speeds of 450MB / s to 500MB / s for read and write, which puts it behind options like Samsung's portable SSDs.
For the moment, the price is still unknown what will this have Bolt B80 by Silicon Power, so we will still have to wait to be able to make use of this accessory that will look so well on our desk along with the rest of our equipment.
