Now Apple Music is cheaper with an annual subscription

It has been almost two years since the Cupertino company set out to revolutionize the music scene again, and although the transformation cannot be equated with that revolution itself that led to the birth of the iPd and iTunes at the beginning of the XNUMXst century, it is true. getting.

In just two years (they will be held next Friday, June 30), Apple Music has managed to gain at least 30 million users, has imposed a "tough" policy of exclusive releases and, most importantly, has pressured I lowered the prices. Yes, strangely enough Apple Music launched a cheaper family plan than the competition and now, it is back with a annual subscription for the price of ten months.

Apple Music is now even cheaper

If you are already Apple Music users, you will currently be paying € 9,99 per month for an individual subscription, or € 14,99 per month for a family subscription that allows up to six members. If you are lucky enough to be a student, then you may be enjoying the cheapest option possible, € 4,99 per month. But now, Apple has expanded its offer with a new annual plan which will be of great interest to those who encounter the first situation.

The new annual Apple Music plan It has a cost of € 99, which represents an approximate discount of 17,41%, or obtaining two free months a year, as you prefer to see it. The new option can be contracted in the same way as the individual plan, since it is effectively an individual plan with a different payment method, and it will be renewed automatically year after year, unless you expressly deactivate this option.

So, with this new option, Apple Music now costs € 8,25 per month, instead of the € 9,99 of the individual monthly plan of this service and also of the competition like Spotify, which may already be planning a new movement with which to counter.

The truth is that the new annual Apple Music plan for € 99 is not new, since there was the option of acquiring it through a gift card. What now changes is the payment method, much more comfortable.

Why is the annual subscription option for Apple Music not appearing?

Many of you are probably wondering what is the reason why, when you go to hire the Apple Music service from your iPhone, iPad or from iTunes, the only thing that appears is the following:

As you can see in the screenshot that you have on these words, when subscribing to Apple Music we are only shown the three options mentioned at the beginning: Individual Plan of € 9,99 per month, Family Plan (up to six members) for € 14,99 per month, and Student Plan for € 4,99 per month. This has a simple explanation: the new annual Apple Music plan for € 99 per month is only available to current subscribers of the streaming music service Apple Music. In other words, if you are not currently an Apple Music user, the Music application will only allow you to make any of the three “normal” subscriptions, but not the new annual subscription. Therefore, if you already enjoy Apple Music with an individual plan, now you can switch to the new annual mode and thus obtain the equivalent of two months of free music every year.

And in the event that you are not an Apple Music user (as is my case, that's why I have shown you the previous screenshot), you must first get a subscription (from € 0,99 the first three months if you are new), and then change the chosen modality for the new annual option.

If you plan to use Apple Music as your main music streaming service from now on, the annual plan is definitely the best option, unless you can create a Family group or you can benefit from the benefits of being a student.
