Regular users of the Microsoft office suite live not only on Office 365. Despite the fact that most of Microsoft's efforts are focused on the online version of Office, the guys at Microsoft continue to work on the lifelong version, that is, the version that can be purchased and does not need a subscription. monthly or yearly to take advantage of all its functions. Currently the last version of conventional Office without depending on the cloud is 2016, but next year it will be replaced by Office 2019, as announced by Microsoft at the Ignite conference that was held in Orlando.

Office 2016

This next version will offer us all the news that are also available in the Office 365 version, depending on the version we buy, and vice versa, so regardless of the version we use, we will not lose any function whether we use one version or another, something to be thankful for from Microsoft. Office 2019 will arrive with Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook hand in hand, but they will not be the only ones, since Skype for Business, Exchange, and SharePoint will also be available in this release.

The release of the next version of Office is scheduled for the middle of next year. In a few months, Microsoft will begin to launch the Insider versions of this new version of Office, so if you are part of the Office Insider program, different from Windows, we will receive a notification when the first beta is available for download.

If you are not yet part of this program, you just have to go through the following link and sign up. They do not need to have an Office license, so anyone with a PC compatible with the next version of Office can sign up, which is practically everyone who are currently managed by Windows 10. What we do not know is if Microsoft Office will require a minimum version of Windows to install, a move that would not surprise me but that would help improve the market share of Windows 10 although it could also harm it when it comes to sales.
