Oxygen is the ROM that was originally designed by members of the Paranoid Android team, while Hydrogen is the Chinese ROM designed to hit the markets and thus cajole buyers of their OnePlus phones.
Also, OnePlus has stated that the two development teams will be combined in the near future to consolidate resources and thus be able to bring updates to users as quickly as possible. Something quite beneficial for owners of a OnePlus and that is one of the biggest traumas that those of us who have an Android terminal suffer.
It is OnePlus itself that knows that this movement will promote the improvement of support it will give a single ROM, so that possible corrections to bugs and bugs in the performance of the software can be quickly addressed.
It is in version 3.5 of Oxygen OS that already you can see part of the fruit of this union with a firmware with better performance and some visual improvements. Also, the company will be attentive to user feedback on some of the UI changes in Oxygen.
