A pirate attack on HBO ends up leaking chapters of Game of Thrones

Game of Thrones

We are in the age of the internet, for better and for worse. This means that thanks to the many subscription services that offer us content on demand such as HBO and Netflix we can quickly access quality content. An example is Spotify, which already has more than 60 million paying users, establishing itself as the most powerful online music service. However, they are not going to be all lights in the face of the online content viewing system.

An example is the "hacking" that HBO has suffered during these past days that has led to the leakage of a large amount of content, including (of course ...) the famous series Game of Thrones. We have more and more life online, and we are more insecure.

The hackers (bad, because there are also good hackers as the good Chema Alonso would say) have managed to bring to light a good number of series that were prepared for their weekly broadcast, more specifically they have been made with no less than 1,5 terabytes of content, which is not exactly little. However, they have not uploaded everything to the internet very easily, for now have leaked a chapter of Bellers Room 4 and they also showed the script of the fourth chapter of Game of Thrones, nothing else. We imagine that they are currently negotiating with HBO.

Meanwhile in general terms we could say that HBO maintains an iron silence, beyond the discomfort that the company's CEO, James Hibberd, has expressed through his Twitter account. Unfortunately, this type of activity is becoming more and more common, and the intention now is not to make it all public for users to enjoy, but to blackmail companies to get a good slice of the hijacking of information. We are undoubtedly desensitizing ourselves to this type of criminal activity.
