The next major update to the popular Pokémon Go smartphone game will add the Alola Pokémon this summer. Niantic is planning and officially announcing this update to implement the exotic characters from the tropical Alola region.
There is no officially set date for this new update but it is hoped that it won't take too long when they have already officially announced it. It is also expected to arrive for iOS and Android devices simultaneously.
Alola was first shown in 2016
The Alola archipelago It was launched for the first time in 2016 with the Pokémon Sun and Pokémon Moon. Niantic itself issued a statement to announce the launch of these "new" Pokémon this summer:
Tropical days are coming! Whether your forecast is rain or shine, we're celebrating around the world with some special Pokémon from the tropical Alola region in Pokémon GO. Get ready to meet some of the Pokémon originally discovered in the Kanto region now in their Alola forms!
These are Pokémons that we already know but with some evolutions or a different aspect to what we usually know in them. Sure that This new version will excite regular Pokémon Go players, since it is always important to add improvements and news to the game. To this day, the game for smartphones still has a large number of players, not at the level of the moment of its launch, but it really maintains a good number of pokémons hunters.
