Ring Linked Devices allows us to connect all our Ring devices

The IFA in Berlin is still running and one of the firms that has a presence at this huge tech-related event is Ring. The company has just announced a new function for all those users who have several Ring devices in our home and connect them together: Ring Linked Devices.

With this, what is intended is precisely to facilitate the user the task of control Ring devices in one and thereby allow greater productivity. This is a new feature coming in the next few weeks that was unveiled in Berlin.

Linked Devices explained simply and plainly for everyone is a function that allows us connect all Ring devices to see what is happening from a single panel, being able to have all the control through a simple application and making the home even smarter.

For example, if the Ring Video Doorbell installed in the front door of our home detects any movement, it will automatically activate the Stick Up Cam in the hallway to immediately start recording and capture any unexpected activity. The different devices are linked very easily from the Ring application and it is programmed which ones will start recording, or even the lights on, whenever movement is detected or someone presses the doorbell. With this new feature, Ring users will be able to:

  • Choose which of your Ring devices you want to sync and link through the “Linked Devices” feature found in the Ring app, helping to further enforce the Security Ring around your home with custom combinations
  • Automatically activate the lights of your Floodlight Cams or Spotlight Cams to illuminate the home as soon as one of the connected devices detects movement
  • Link multiple Ring Video Doorbells and security cameras to allow simultaneous recording when motion is detected by a linked device (feature available to Ring Protect subscribers). For example, if a user has a Ring Video Doorbell Pro, a Floodlight Cam and subscribes to Ring Protect, they will have full access to the recordings recorded by each of the devices even if only one of them has detected motion

Ring enhancements are still great for their large community of users around the world and now with this feature they allow any user to control all devices using just one.
