Samsung 360 Round, the commitment to 360 videos for professionals

In the market we can find different models that allow us to make 360-degree recordings, to later enjoy them with virtual reality devices. But not all of them have affordable prices and offer us excellent results. For the ordinary user, Samsung offers us the Gear 360, a device managed by 2 cameras that allowed us to record our surroundings, although not in a simple way.

For more complex environments or situations, Samsung has launched a new camera aimed at the professional sector much more advanced and that offers us up to 17 cameras, in a way that allows us to record our entire environment without having to make strange movements as if we were catching flies.

The Samsung 360 Round is managed by 8 pairs of cameras located horizontally and one at the top to record vertically. This model allows us to record videos in 4k resolution with 3D sound to be able to reproduce it in any virtual reality device. But in addition, it also allows us to carry out live broadcasts, ideal for when we want to broadcast live an event such as a concert, a game ...

Each of the cameras offers us a resolution of 2 mpx with an aperture of f / 1.8. The maximum resolution that we can record is 4k at 30 fps. To record the sound of the environment, the Samsung 360 Round has 6 integrated microphones and the possibility of adding 2 more through the two ports that it offers us. It is resistant to splashes of water and dust with IP65 certification, it has an internal storage of 256 GB via microSD card or up to 2 TB via an SSD. The dimensions of this device are 205 millimeters in diameter by 76,8 thick and it is priced at 1.93 kg.

Regarding the price, the company has not yet ruled on it, but being aimed at a professional environment, it is more than likely that the price escapes from the pockets of many users. The Finnish firm Nokia, launched a similar device on the market a few years ago for professional environments, but unfortunately and due to little success it has recently been forced to stop selling it.
