Samsung says Bixby Voice won't be available until late spring

That is how forceful is the announcement of the South Korean company about one of the great novelties of the new Samsung Galaxy S8 and S8 +, the Bixby assistant will not be available from the beginning on their devices and this is a jug of cold water for users who see as one of the "great novelties" of these devices is left out from the beginning. In this sense, what we have is an official notification from the company that postpones the launch of this assistant until the end of spring.

This is undoubtedly a hard blow for the brand itself since it leaves it a bit in evidence considering the emphasis they have made with this new option of their devices and others. On the other hand, some users are already beginning to complain about this issue since they advertised it as available at launch time and in the end it looks like it will lag a bit behind.

Samsung itself says in an official statement:

With its smart interface and contextual awareness, Bixby will make your mobile more useful by helping you complete different tasks, telling you what you are seeing, learning your routines and remembering what to do. Some of the most important Bixby functions, such as Vision, Home or Reminder, will be available with the global launch of the Samsung Galaxy S8 on April 21. However, Bixby Voice will be available for the Galaxy S8 in the US later this spring.

It does not seem clear that Samsung devices go on the market with a half assistant and that is why they have decided to postpone their launch until it is really operational, leaving a little in evidence what was mentioned in their keynote and evidently users as worse unemployed, since they will not be able to use the assistant that had to compete with the rest of the virtual assistants from the first moment. There is talk of late spring but obviously there is no definitive date, so it will be time to be patient.
