These days the Microsoft Build is being held in Seattle, where Satya Nadella, the CEO of Microsoft was commissioned to inaugurate it, offering interesting data on the number of Windows 10. The figure was expected to be much more positive and we remember that the goal of the Redmond-based company was to reach 1.000 installations of its new operating system.
Moment new software is present on 500 million devices (including desktops, laptops, tablets and also a small number of Lumia phones). This figure is certainly shocking, but it falls far short of the goal set not too long ago by Satya Nadella himself.
If we look back, last September Microsoft announced from the rooftops that they had reached 400 million installations, which kept them on track to achieve their goal. However, more than half a year later, the number of installations has not grown as expected, stagnating at 500 million installations.
Satya Nadella did not enter to assess the data, but it is to be imagined that they will not be too happy at Microsoft, and it is that in Microsoft Build 2015 they confirmed that they would seek to bring Windows 10 to one billion devices in 2017 or 2018 at the latest. At the moment the goal is very far and that speaks very clearly that Windows 10 is not having the evolution expected by almost everyone.
