Surely if we say the word Segway to you, that two-wheeled transport that allows you to move freely around the city comes to mind. However, the company has more models in its catalog. And during the IFA fair in Berlin, it has presented two new models that will be added to its offer later this year. It's about the Segway miniLITE and miniPLUS.
It is true that a few months ago the fashionable transport were electric scooters also known as hoverboards. This type of two-wheeler has proliferated among users, although it is also true that there have been many problems they have caused, not only with regard to accidents but also equipment malfunction.
The new Segway miniLITE and miniPLUS are looking for a sector of the public that wants an easy to handle transport. And of course, as safe as possible. Both models are robust and thanks to their imposing wheels, they will be able to go into rough terrain. Likewise, and as its name indicates, the model Segway miniLITE is focused on use from an early age. According to the company, this product is indicated for children from 6 years old.
Thanks to its batteries, you can travel a maximum of 18 kilometers of distance. We assume that this figure does not take into account the type of terrain and orography. While the maximum speed that can reach is 16 km / h. For its part, transporting it will not be something that costs us too much: it has a total weight of 12,5 kilograms.
Meanwhile, if we talk about Segway miniPLUS, the age of use from which it starts is 12 years. Its size is somewhat larger and in this case the difference in the distance to travel is also noticeable: 35 kilometers. Also, the maximum speed that the Segway miniPLUS can reach is 20 km / h. And in case you were wondering, its total weight is 16,5 kg.
Now, since we don't always have our hands free to carry more things with us, this Segway miniPLUS incorporates 'follow me' mode. And you only have to control it with the remote control. At the moment neither of the two models has a confirmed price. But if we are guided by what we know of its catalog brothers, they should be around - at least - 600 euros.
