This is how the Nokia Moonraker smartwatch looked, project canceled

In the world of technology some things go well, other things go wrong and sometimes they even end up not working. The latter is what happened to the Nokia Moonraker, a smartwatch that was canceled despite being a device that moved quite well. This latest leak is added to the portfolio of «Nokia», a company that does not seem to finish dying, and it is that it has the affection of millions of ex-users around the world who are not convinced with the current brands regarding consumer electronics and mobile telephony. Watch this video and appreciate how the Nokia Moonraker was running, the smartwatch that could be and was not.

This wearable device was being developed during 2013, just when Microsoft acquired the Finnish company as far as mobile division is concerned. This may explain why the user interface is really simple, in fact it gives a slight nod to WinPho. The device was made of plastic, however, we see as being three years ago, it is not too far from others that we can find today, such as the range of Sony smart watches.

To navigate the clock, the simplest cats would do us, in a time when smartwatches were more a project than a reality. Another determining aspect is that it has NFC, and remember, the operating system has little or nothing to do with watchOS or Android Wear.

The reality is that it has left us with our jaws open to see how well the Nokia watch moved, a watch that never reached the market and we do not know why, especially considering that Microsoft has launched other wearables of which none it has gotten too deep into consumers. Perhaps the Redmond company should have inherited this project and pushed it to turn it into an interesting piece.
