Sonos launches its entire range of premium speakers in Japan

After a soft launch in August with Japanese retailer BEAMS - which included the Sonos One, Sonos Beam and Play: 5 - today sees the launch of the entire range of Sonos for music lovers in Japan, the second largest music market in the world. Expanding Sonos' mission to inspire the world to listen better, music and movie fans will now have more options, with greater access to home theater setups with the addition of PlayBase and PlayBar, more pronounced bass with Sonos Sub and the ability to listen in any room (or all of them).

Sonos is firmly committed to offering an open platform that allows users around the world, and now also in Japan, to listen to the audio content they want from their preferred streaming service. Staying true to that promise has meant solving huge technical challenges, bringing groundbreaking innovations to wireless audio in the home, and forging close alliances with like-minded companies. The result is a unique and expanding audio ecosystem that gets better and sounds even better with every software update.

"In a smart speaker category rife with technology hassles and poor audio quality, Sonos strives to be different," says Matthew Siegel, Chief Commercial Officer at Sonos. "We believe we have created the most versatile smart home sound system, which allows you to enjoy all the content that interests you, the way you want."

The new Sonos CEO for Japan, Seto Kazunobu, will control the launch, focused on making it easier for Japanese consumers to enjoy amazing sound and empowering them to listen their way. Sonos products are available in Japan on Sonos.com, Beams, Tsutaya, Sanwa, HAY, and Amazon starting this month.
