Sony Smartwatch 3 users want Sony and Google to update the devices to Android Wear 2.0

At the last developer conference that Google held last year, the guys from Mountain View unveiled what it would be like the first major OS update for Android Wear smartwatches, an operating system that has taken almost a year to arrive and that today is only available in the new models that LG presented a few days ago. The first devices to hit the market with this operating system have been the first to be left out of this great update, something Google has us used to if we talk about fragmentation in Android, despite the fact that many of them are compatible according to their Specifications.

The announcement of the excluded devices was made when the second version was introduced in May last year, and although there were not many excluded models, have been a nuisance in the community. The users of the Sony Smartwatch 3 have been the first who have made pineapple and have opened a petition signatures on change.org to try to convince Google and Sony to update this model and be compatible with the second version of Android Wear, an update that offers us a large number of new functions that make it more independent.

At the time of writing this article, Just over 3.000 signatures have already been collected out of the 5.000 that the organizers have proposed of this proposal. The organizers urge those affected to call, send emails trying to convince Sony to bother releasing an update for this particular model that allows use of Android Wear 2.0.
