SPC Gravity 3 Pro: In-Depth Analysis

SPC Gravity 3 Pro - Cover

As on previous occasions, we have once again worked with a product from SPC, a firm focused on democratizing numerous technologies to make them reach as many users as possible. On this occasion we focus on its sector of tablets, adapted to the needs of current users and with numerous features.

We review the new SPC Gravity 3 Pro, a smart pen tablet and hardware review to deliver a good experience. Discover with us all the features and performance of this new SPC product, so you can see if it is really worth buying one of these tablets.

Materials and design

In this section, SPC seeks simplicity and durability, only in this way can they maintain a contained price without giving up a good experience. Thus, the tablet is built mainly in plastic with a Pretty solid unibody chassis.

It is designed to be used horizontally, which is why the webcam is located in the center of the side bezel, and not in the area with the least length. It's also because the POGO port sits on the opposite bezel. For what would be the right side (I insist, horizontally), there is both the power button and the volume selector, leaving the USB-C port and the microSD card slot on the left.

SPC Gravity 3 Pro - Ports

Only the camera, the LED Flash and the references to the brand remain on the back. We have a fairly minimalist product focused, as we have said, on durability and functionality.

En este sentido, SPC maintains its line of design and functionality quite unalterable, so this Gravity 3 Pro does not stand out too much in this section, leaving the greatest attraction to the hardware section.

Technical characteristics

In the technical section, SPC has opted for the MediaTek M58168 quad-core with speeds of up to 2.0 GHz. An entry-level processor, focused on optimizing consumption and capable of containing temperatures. In the graphic section, they leave everything in the hands of the well-known ARM Mali-G52, which will offer us enough capacity to consume content without problems, although it suffers in the most demanding tasks such as gaming.

In the connectivity section, we must point out that we have Wi-Fi 5 up to 300 Mbps loading and unloading, accompanied by Bluetooth 5.0 and we have an audio output 3,5 mm jack, for the most classic. Speaking of cables, we must not forget that the USB-C port is OTG, so we can send, receive and take advantage of all the content, even through information storage sources.

Regarding memory RAM, we have a total of 4GB, Accompanied by 64GB of internal storage, which can be expanded via microSD cards up to 512GB. The standard storage isn't particularly fast, since it doesn't include any of the latest generation technologies, but enough to perform the most common tasks.

Multimedia experience

When we talk about the screen, we find a panel of 10,35 inches, a considerable size according to the device before which we find ourselves. The aspect ratio is 16:10, that is, an extremely widescreen format. As expected, we have an IPS LCD panel with a resolution well below FullHD, and that is offers 1332 × 800 pixels, perhaps one of the most negative points of the devices, that in its price range it could have opted for a higher resolution panel.

Despite this detail, the maximum brightness is quite high (without specific data), which has allowed us to consume content outdoors and with direct light sources. Although the oleophobic and anti-reflective coating can also be improved.

We return to the speakers located at the bottom, which They offer a fairly wide, powerful sound with accentuated bass, becoming one of the most favorable points of the device, completing a multimedia content consumption experience that adapts well to the price of the device.

The rear camera offers a 5Mpx resolution, with the ability to record video up to 1080p resolutions (higher than it can play), with a small LED flash. For its part, the front camera (720p) and the microphone more than meet the task of establishing video calls with a certain degree of fluidity and clarity.

Autonomy and Stylus

As for the battery, the device offers a capacity of 6.000 mAh with a 20W charge through the cable and USB plug included in the box, all a detail in the times that run. This capacity, which is not excessively striking, is enough to maintain more than a day of standard use, taking into account that it is a tablet and that its connectivity is quite limited to WiFi networks, which favors its drainage.

SPC Gravity 3 Pro - Pen

On the other hand, a small smart pencil is included, with a metallic finish and that is charged through a USB-C port. This stylus works well, is comfortable and quite precise, taking into account the type of device we are dealing with. However, SPC does not natively install any type of application that allows us to interact with the pen, whose synchronization is automatic. In this way, if we want to know the limits of the pencil we have to download external applications beyond the initial ones, not even a note application can we use without the corresponding previous search and download.

Editor's opinion

We are faced with a fairly complete product, which we can buy on Amazon for just over 190 euros, as well as on the website of SPC. As a positive point we have the brightness, the accessories and a performance in line with the price, however, running Android 11 and not having specific applications for the stylus can weigh down the product.

Despite the above, it is appreciated that it does not have bloatware of any kind, which improves the general performance of the tablet. The Gravity 3 Pro is well focused on the young and student public who can get the most out of the pencil, as well as those who seek to entertain themselves by consuming content easily from home, at very contained prices.
