SPC Zion Air Pro, a TWS alternative at a reasonable price [Analysis]

The world of true wireless headphones continues to expand by leaps and bounds, almost all technology brands already have products with these characteristics, we could say that they are amply democratized and that is why there are more and more alternatives that we find in the market and of that's the spanish firm SPC know a while.

We return once more to the analysis table, this time with the new Spanish TWS headphones Zion Air Pro from SPC, don't miss our in-depth analysis to see the most attractive and weak points of this product. As always on your trusted website, Actualidad Gadget.

Materials and design

Let's go first with the packaging that houses the technology. We start with its charging case, an especially important section since it is where our headphones will be stored most of the time. We have a white charging case with a matte finish and in the shape of a "pill", a design that we find in others such as the Magic Earbuds of Honor. It is compact and fits well in our pockets, we have 80 x 33 x 30 millimeters in total and it is that they house the battery inside to charge the headphones. Obviously it has a system of magnets that attract the headphones to their correct position. You like them? You can buy them in THIS LINK.

The headphones meanwhile have a fairly traditional design, we have 40 x 18,8 x 25,2 millimeters in total and a weight of 4 grams for each earbud. They are light and are also made of matt white plastic. They have a removable pad system and we also have a small bag in the package that includes the size "S" and size "L" so that they can be adapted to all tastes and needs. In this aspect we have not had any problem, we did not notice that they fall or bother too much.

Configuration and autonomy

As for the configuration, it is quite simple, we must emphasize that we do not have any physical button on the box. When we receive them, to activate them it is enough to place them inside the box. When removed, the LED will begin to flash and will be displayed on the Bluetooth of our device. We have not found a memory system, so they are configured individually with each device to which we are going to connect them.

When it comes to working, just take them out of the box and we will see that they will quickly connect via Bluetooth to the paired device, without further inconvenience.

As for autonomy, the firm promises us 5 hours of audio playback with a charge, in our tests we have reached approximately four hours. The full charge of the box is done via USB-C cable with a total time of two hours, while the full charge of the headphones inside the box will take us about 90 minutes.

For its part, the box has four LEDs that will indicate 25% intervals of the charge of this, and that they will stay on when they are charging the headphones inside, as well as when we remove them from the case. We have a total of 420 mAh of battery thatThey promise up to 16 hours of playtime with multiple charges in the case.

Technical Specifications

To function these SPC Zion Air Pro come with technology Bluetooth 5.0, hence they are paired quickly and without the need for further setup just right out of the box. It is compatible with HSP, HFP, A2DP, AVRCP and AAC profiles audio and we have compatibility for Siri and Google Assistant.

Similarly, the maximum range promised is around 10m from the audio source. For its part, we have a microphone in each earpiece that will also pick up outside sound to minimize echo and SPC's "Pro Sound" technology.

Obviously we have a touch panel on both headphones that will allow us to:

  • 1 touch: Play and pause
  • 1 long touch: Next or previous song
  • 1 touch: Pick up and hang up calls
  • 1 long tap: Reject the call
  • 2 taps: Invoke voice assistant
  • 1 five-second touch: Turn off the headset

All these are the possibilities that the touch control offers us and that are perfectly detailed in the instructions that the package contains. We must not forget that we also have resistance IPX5 which will allow us to exercise without problems with sweat, in our tests it has been.

Sound quality and user experience

We start with the user experience. The headphones are easily placed and weigh very little, so if we use the correct pad we will not have any problem when exercising. They are good battle headphones, because despite what we could imagine they do not fall (at least in our tests) and we can also consider that they are prepared to resist falls and sweat given their construction, in this section I am satisfied, taking into account the price of the product and its finishes.

Regarding the sound quality, we find a correct product, once again considering the price. We have a maximum volume that is missing something, however, we did not find distortions or noise.

While is true that the absence of means is almost total and that the low ones are testimonial. We are facing low cost headphones and they offer a sound according to the price of the product, without further pretense.

Your calls are important too, and this time we have found a sufficient microphone, which can suffer in somewhat noisier environments, but which is not impossible to use, as is the case with others from the competition.

Editor's opinion

We must bear in mind that the design is successful, the capabilities and functionalities are well adapted and above all that they cost less than 60 euros. It is true that they border on the price of alternatives such as Xiaomi, but the reality is that they are not heard worse or better, so the option of SPC given its design is very attractive. You can get them from 55 euros On Amazon (LINK) o on their own website.
