Spotify users get a refund for constant Drake advertising

Spotify

Drake released his new album titled Scorpion this past Friday. The new album by the Canadian rapper has everything to be a success, and the publicity about it has been a lot. Especially on Spotify, where the rapper's face appeared on all the banners and headers of the playlists. A somewhat excessive advertising that has annoyed many users of the Swedish streaming service.

As even on those playlists where Drake didn't have a song, his face would come out. A great effort by Spotify to get users to listen to the rapper's album. But not everyone is entirely happy with these actions of the company.

It has especially been annoying for premium Spotify users, which do not have to see any advertising. Not even they have been spared Drake's constant presence on the platform. Therefore, many have decided to take action and complain to the company about this.

And it seems they have gotten results. Why many users claim to have obtained a refund from the company. It would be a compensation for these inconveniences. Although the company itself in statements to some media has said that there have not been many complaints, and that they do not plan to launch a compensation plan for users.

Something that has raised doubts. Because there are quite a few Spotify users who claim to have obtained their monthly payment refund. Although so far the exact number of users is unknown who have obtained this money from the company.

We will have to see what happens in the next few days, if more users with complaints arise or not. Since what has become clear is that Spotify has gotten out of hand promoting Drake's album. Although surely the rapper appreciates this huge publicity.
