Steven Spielberg claims he played Mario on a PlayStation

Mario, the mythical plumber who became known around the world thanks to Nintendo, has always been associated, no matter how little knowledge we have on the subject of video games, to the Nintendo firm, just like Sonic to the company, too Japanese, Sega, although this to a lesser extent, since has not had the continuity that Mario has enjoyed in this little world.

During the promotion of the movie Ready Player One, Steve Spielberg gave an interview to a Japanese news agency called Kyodo. During the interview, he was asked if he had tried a virtual reality game, for the theme of the film, to which he replied: «I played Mario and so on on the PlayStation. The first time I tried it I didn't want to take off my glasses«.

Mario on PlayStation? Has Spielberg revealed the existence of a secret Nintendo game for the Sony video game platform? Will Mario come to the PlayStation in virtual reality? Unfortunately it will not be like that, at least unless the world is about to end and madness has begun to take over the whole world. What is clear is that the world of video games for Steven Spielberg is something very, very secondary.

Most likely, Spielberg has played a platform game similar to Mario with the PlayStation VR, although if we stop to think there are really not many options, not to mention any platforms compatible with Sony's virtual reality glasses. If we put Sony aside and talk about Oculus, he may be talking about the game Lucky's Tale. Or maybe, while preparing the script for the film, some member of the team dust off the Nintendo Virtual Boy, a project of virtual reality glasses from Nintendo that passed without pain or glory through the market in 1995.

If possible, for the PS2 there was a DVD that emulated all the snes roms and could be played normally.
