Model 3 production is giving Tesla a lot of headaches. This model was intended to be the first of the firm to be mass produced. But, from the beginning the company has not reached the production targets. In fact, on most occasions they fell far short of the target set. Although things have changed in June.
As Model 3 production has finally caught up that Elon Musk's company wanted. So production starts at a rate that is profitable for Tesla. Good news that can make a big difference.
They have managed to produce 5.000 Model 3s in a week. In addition, they have achieved this long-awaited production figure, without having altered the production of the Model S and X, which total 2.000 units. So Tesla has managed to produce 7.000 cars in a week of time.
This is a good figure that invites optimism, since with this production rate, the firm can start making profits. Something they need to keep investors satisfied. Especially since the company is known for burning money, given the high production costs.
The doubt is if the production of 5.000 units per week of Model 3 will become a constant or it has been something exceptional for Tesla. But for now, the feelings within Elon Musk's company are positive. So much so that the creator of the firm celebrates it on social networks.
Tesla's next big goal is to become a profitable company by the end of this year. This will only be possible if they maintain these production rates. So the next few months promise to be decisive for the future of the company. Since then we will see if they are able to maintain this rate of production and generate profits.
