AirPods are impossible to repair according to iFixit

Every time a company launches a new product on the market, the guys at iFixit do everything possible to be able to disassemble the device and see the possibilities of repairing it. And the AirPods could not be less. Since last Monday, many users are already enjoying these Apple wireless headphones that have a market price of 179 euros and to which several users have already submitted to different torture by way of falls and submerging them in the water to check its resistance. As we have seen through iFixit, AirPods cannot be repaired, so in case of a breakdown that does not cover the warranty, you can make yourself some curious earrings.

Once the AirPods are opened to see how it is manufactured, it is impossible to repair because most components, in addition to being welded, are also glued together, especially the elements that cover the technology that is inside. When Apple designed these headphones, they wanted them to take up as little space as possible, which is why they are impossible to repair and for the company to offer a separate replacement program for them.

If we lose one of them or it stops working and the repair is not covered by the warranty, Apple offers us the possibility to buy one independently, at the price of 75 dollarsThe equivalent in euros is not yet on the Spanish website, and it is more than a week since they published this information on the iPhone support website, where this information can be found. Here are several screenshots of the process that iFixit has carried out to check if the AirPods can be repaired or not. If you want to take a look at more images just you have to go through the iFixit page.
