Apple's TouchID is wasted

TouchID

Apple introduced in 2013 the iPhone 5s along with its already popular fingerprint sensor «TouchID«, But in this section Apple has not evolved as much as we expected; It is true that TouchID is a very secure system and it has been demonstrated several times, it is also true that in 2014 it was released to developers by opening a new security functionality in iOS, and it is true that this past year Apple has shown the power of TouchID with its «easy reach» function that allows us to access with a single finger to areas of the screen where without it we could not reach in our new iPhone 6 and 6 Plus, but it's not enough, a system with so many virtues must be squeezed, and Apple still has to do it.

What functions can TouchID have to get the most out of it? I am going to present a couple of ideas:

Search my Iphone

When we lose our iPhone or it is stolen, we must limit ourselves to pray that we can find it from the iCloud website and in the worst case delete the content of the iPhone (as long as the thief does not display the Control Center from the screen of lock and put the airplane mode, if necessary I wish you good luck to find it) and lose it forever, or what is the same, say goodbye to money that has cost you a lot to collect. Well no, Apple can do something in this regard, a way to squeeze the TouchID and in the process help to reduce theft of iPhone or even end this is the following:

When someone steals our phone, once we have marked it as lost, the TouchID records the fingerprints that press the home button (being one of the few buttons it has, the thief will press it yes or yes) and send them by mail to three options, or Apple and that they take care of contacting you or the police to identify the owner of said fingerprint (supposedly each country keeps a record of the fingerprints of all its inhabitants), or that this fingerprint reaches you by mail so that you can present it to the authorities and say "look, I have the thief's fingerprint", or that it is sent directly to the authorities with a theft notice (as long as it has been previously marked as lost from iCloud). Any of these 3 options ends with the authorities having biometric evidence of the culprit or possible culprit and therefore knowing perfectly who it is. And the best part is that it would not violate anyone's privacy, since fingerprints are something that we continually leave everywhere. What I am not sure is if the operation of TouchID would allow to do this, since an image of your fingerprint is not captured but the operation has more to do with numbers ...

Double check

Apple already filed a patent on a that described how to use a combination of your fingerprint and a pattern that should be entered at the same time to increase the security of your data.

I believe that today Apple is already capable of making a system of these characteristics available to users, unless it requires a rotating TouchID ...

Multi-User

Apple could enable user management on iPhones and especially iPads so that each user only has access to their data and the same device can be shared. The way to recognize the user who is or will be using the device could be done through TouchID, allowing the device to know without complications or different codes (that more codes, greater risk to security) who wants to use the device and self-configure for him or her. A function that would be ideal especially on iPads and that would be great for families and couples.

As you can see, there are many utilities that a system like TouchID could have, it is only a matter of imagination, effort (I don't think Apple lacks money to hire a few more developers) and intention. And you, do you have any ideas applicable to TouchID? Leave them in the comments to see if any groundbreaking ideas come from here 😀

Apple has introduced the double touch for easy reach, but is it so difficult to realize that having the touch at home, now all the different BASIC actions could already be executed in a simple way as it happens in android devices ??? ? For example, a simple touch to go back. That is the simplest action that can be and effective when moving from one place to another within any application, and, GENTLEMEN !!! Apple and its users do not seem to have realized it yet and they love to put the back arrow in the upper left corner at all, which is the best place if you want to be using the iPhone with one hand. What are you playing and you don't like to accidentally hit the bonus that takes you out of the application because it can screw up the game? That only happens on android because they are also a bit careless and do not take into account the user who likes to play. In Apple it seems that this may be one of the reasons why the two touch left and right of the central button are not inserted. But with the home button with touch there are more possibilities of use to which all those BASIC actions can be associated quickly and efficiently as they are done with the android touch and with the advantage of not accidentally pressing the touch that takes you out of the application. But at Apple they love to work more to get to the sites, it is a good philosophy, and to activate the multi-sale with two pressures, when in reality it would cost much less effort to assign such action to the simple gesture of keeping the thumb on the home Half a second. Anyway, I do not understand why Apple does not realize the simplest and most everyday things for managing their devices.
