The expected Nokia D1C could be a tablet and not a smartphone

If you are one of the users who is waiting for the launch of the new Nokia smartphone managed by Android, either out of curiosity or because it is a classic, we may have to wait a little longer. After the sale of the mobile division to Microsoft a couple of years ago, the highly anticipated Nokia D1C might not be the smartphone that everyone is waiting for. As we have been able to read in Geekbench this device will be a giant tablet, 13,8 inches managed by Android 7.0. If finally confirmed, Nokia would start on the wrong foot in its return to the world of telephony.

That Nokia opts to return to the market with a tablet of such dimensions is a disconcerting idea, since the experience of the Finnish brand in this section is quite frustrating. When the first tablets began to arrive on the market, many were the users who got one to try to replace the computer they hardly used. But that time is over and the sale of tablets is falling year after year although manufacturers continue to bet on them.

According to GFXBench, the Nokia D1C would have a resolution of 1920 x 1080, a very poor resolution for such a large screen size. This tablet would be managed by 3 GB of RAM and a Snapdragon 430, a very discreet mid-range chip. Storage wise, we found an internal 16GB that really stays at 9 after installing the company's entire system and apps. The only thing that stands out is the two cameras, a 16 mpx in the back and an 8 mpx in the front.

Based on the information that we have so far and if it is finally a tablet that Nokia presents to us, it does not seem that it will enter the world of telephony on the right foot again with a tablet, a device that is currently in low hours and what still looking for a benchmark in the tablet market.
