The Facebook 360 application will allow us to enjoy the content of the social network in 360 degrees

After several years in which the company had barely introduced new functions, the social network does not stop adding new functions, functions to try to maintain the interest of users in the platform. But not only in the form of services, but it is also launching new applications to continue separating some functions of the social network, as it did with Facebook Messenger. Mark Zuckerberg's company has just launched Facebook 360, an application that allows us to enjoy all the content available in 360 degrees available on the social network, whether they are photographs or videos, a content that has been expanding a lot in the last year.

According to Facebook after launching the application, the social network currently has more than 25 million photos and more than a million videos recorded in 360 degrees, figures that continue to increase. This application, currently only compatible with Samsung Gear VR, offers us four sections to enjoy this content: Timeline, Follow, Saved and Explore. At the moment we do not know if the company will launch an application for the virtual reality glasses of the Oculus company, but it is assumed that it will do so in the near future, to try to increase the sad sales that this device has shown.

Following the takeoff of virtual reality last year, The Samsung Gear VR has become the best-selling device, followed by the Playstation VR and the HTC Vive which double the number of sales of the Oculus, which are in last place, just below Google's Daydream. This new application is now available for download through the Oculus application available on devices compatible with the Gear VR of the Korean company.
