The internal network of Telefónica, Vodafone and BBVA could be in serious danger

Telefónica

At the moment it is not known for sure what is happening, but Telefónica has just sounded the alarm to its employees that something very serious could be happening in its internal network, in the form of an attack. In addition and as we have learned, Vodafone, Santander, BBVA and Capgemini could also be affected.

At the moment and as we say, not many details are known, and the degree of the attack is unknown, although it seems more than confirmed that we are facing a significant security breach. The order given has been to shut down all the computers, to prevent the connection from being used, in what is known as ransonware.

The problem seems, although it is not confirmed yet, that it is at the national level, affecting not only the headquarters but also the subsidiaries spread throughout the country. And it could continue to grow as a warning has already been issued to data centers, which although they do not use the affected network, they could end up having problems.

This is the message that all Telefónica employees have received as a result of the attack;

URGENT: TURN OFF YOUR COMPUTER NOW

The news has spread through social networks at full speed, and although so far none of the affected companies have officially confirmed anything, there are already more than clear signs that something is happening. Now we just have to wait for everything to return to normal, although perhaps things are not so simple and we will see how several companies are very affected in their normal day to day.
