We already knew that Samsung had prepared a new smartwatch model, baptized as Gear Sport, thanks to the carelessness of an advertising company that mistakenly placed an advertisement for the new smartwatch next to the Galaxy Note 8 just hours before its official presentation took place. This took place a few minutes ago at IFA 2017 that is being held in Berlin.
This new Samsung Gear Sport does not arrive to revolutionize the smartwatch market, but it does seem to offer us new options for all of us who like to play sports and take our watch anywhere, even 50 meters under water.

A smartwatch thinking for all athletes
The novelties of this Gear Sport compared to other smartwatches of the company are not too obvious, although it is the most interesting especially for all athletes, including swimmers. And it is that this new smartwatch from Samsung improves in terms of heart rate measurement, but incorporates the MIL-STD- 810G military endurance certification which will allow us to submerge it 5 ATM, up to about 50 meters.
It will have the applications installed inside Speedo On and S Health that will be perfect to control and mediate your swimming sessions in detail. Among other things, this Gear Sport will be able to automatically measure the number of lengths we do in a pool, the time of each lap, the strokes and many other data. In addition, Samsung has not forgotten other athletes to whom it will continue to offer a huge amount of information in real time.
Price and Availability
In recent times it seems that Samsung is getting too used to the presentation of new devices, without announcing an immediate arrival to the market, something that users do not usually like at all. At the moment this Gear Sport does not have a date of arrival on the market and neither a definitive price, although surely with the passage of days the South Korean company will begin to provide information.
